Question on 2mm Benchy after Silicon Bed Leveling

So I just re-leveled my bed as I had moved my printer around and got some proper low profile lock nuts. I’m within 0.02 across all the measurements which is good.

So my question is on printing the bottom 2mm of Benchy. When I adjust the Live Z to an acceptable level with the built in calibration print and the 75mm x 75mm life adjust Z square my Benchy is a solid surface. The writing is in readable and practically undetectable. Also my live Z value is at -0.975 which seems quite large

I am using Prusament PETG if that makes a difference.

I’m thinking I need to adjust the PINDA level again, which I’m assuming means I will then need to re-level my bed.

Do you have any pictures of your benchy? I do all of my calibration using pla, but I never had a benchy bottom that was solid without the writing showing. I have a picture of one of mine from when I did the silicone mod.

Pictures of benchy

Here is an imgur album of my 75x75 life z print and the Benchy bottom.  As you can see, the text of the PETG benchy bottom is really hard to make out.

I dont think it looks bad, but it being white filament probably makes it look bad to you. Does it look better using a different color of filament?

I added a picture of a PLA benchy I printed when I first got the printer... and of course before I decided to tinker with everything.  I don't know if you can see from the picture but the letters are recessed on the PLA print but not on the PETG one.  So maybe it's a PETG vs PLA issue?

The new picture of the benchy would be good, but the z adjust is too high and it should be lower to squish the filament down more. I havent ever printed a benchy bottom in PETG, but Ill try one to see if my results look similar to yours.

PETG Benchy

Yep that looks similar, cool. I feel more confident in my z settings. Now off to adjust the setup for PLA.
