Extruder parts

Hey,

I printed the parts and tried to rework the areas where the collision takes place (area throat/neck of the hotend). But I was unhappy with the result and throw them away last week. My disadvantage is missing knowledgement in CAD usage...i can only build and manage small operations in Tinker CAD....

Regards

Timker Cad

TinkerCad is fine for most things I do.  I use Fusion 360 for the rest.

Hi FirstLayer

I made a remix of pear.3d direct drive. 2 versions. 1 with V6 hotend and 1 with stock MINI hotend.

Mini bear

Hello everyone, I saw Tomson's remix, and I decided to go for it!

My goal is to have as little cost as possible and to use the original parts of the Prusa mini as much as possible.

I would like to use all smooth rods. I already have 4 other printers, so if it's not very tall, I don't mind.

In order to save money on aluminum profiles, I am thinking of using this: https://www.prusaprinters.org/en/prints/36631-prusa-mini-mk3s-smokistyle-upgrade-haribo
Do you think it is stable enough?

In order to use the 10mm smooth rods I would like to use this: https://www.prusaprinters.org/en/prints/64032-mini-bear-remixsmokistylewith-alternative-z-rod

Can we use the (big enough) bearings from the original Z axis in this mod? -> https://www.prusaprinters.org/fr/prints/64032-mini-bear-remixsmokistylewith-alternative-z-rod

I would also like to use the direct drive and tomson came up with a great stuff that I think I would use as well https://www.prusaprinters.org/en/prints/74880-mini-bear-direct-drive-stock-extruder-and- hotend

Do you think it would be possible to use the original aluminum profiles for the Y axis?

Would you have a link to buy a second motor with the threaded rod for the Z axis? (It seems to me that the Z motor on the mini is smaller than the others).

Thank you in advance for your answers !

PS: I am French, sorry for my English, I use a translator

Nema motor Z axis

This nema motor is good for Z axis? I am thinking of using the original one for the second.

RE: Attention to Z stepper

Hi Allan,

well prusa mini uses tr8*4 mk3s uses tr8*8 so you should keep your z steppers identical if its an original get it from prusa otherwise get it from other supplier where you bought your mini. Direct drive with mini gears is still on testing we are testing with Tom. For reability of the machine we have on our printing farm 10 of those working horses 24/7 and we push them always at 160% speed it prints gorgeous using bondtech dual mk3 gears, never did had a failure

Happy making it

30x30 Z-axis mount.

Hi cwbullet.

I added cad-picture of the mount.

MINI Bear Remix(SmokiStyle)with alternative Z-Rod by Tomson | Download free STL model | PrusaPrinters

It is intended for use with the 10 mm OEM rods from the MINI. I just made them in cad and did not print them but I think they should work anyway. pear.3d and I have a small project to make a MINI Bear as affordable as possible. I have 2040 profiles myself and only do this and the Z-option for others who want a firmer chassis but do not want to pay premium. I made them for 30x30 extrusions bec. i guess you gonna use singel extrusion. But tell me if you want anything change. Also working on a much more compact Extruder but it´s not finished yet. It´s also with OEM heatsink . I hope to find a model that work well with OEM parts to keep the cost down as low as possibly.

Hope you like it/Tomson

New build

Yes you do and it would be nice if you post a picture and tell me how it goes. So we can make improvements if needed. What extruder are you planning to use?
