RE: Prusa Bear Mini Mk3s

@pear3d-ch

Hi,
Great work on this mod, I am quite excited to have a go at making one!
Is there a complete bill of materials for the project?

There is a lot of information spread around many web pages, and it is difficult to be certain that I have all the information.
What is missing from the github at least is a complete description of all the parts that are required for the build, as well as complete instructions for completing the build.
Have I missed these somewhere?

Many thanks

Hi @sedur,

It is true there is no unified guide, you will have to jump around https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/59381-pear3dch/prints and github as for the material needed is the aluminium frame you can buy that in aliexpress or from openbuilds, an extra z stepper for prusa mini if you have an original then you need to get it from prusa, if not then buy that from aliexpress or amazon, bondtech dual gears for prusa mk3s, e3d v6 complete hotend, nozzle and heatbreake, 1 ball bearing Lmu8 for E-X axis, some bolts and screws, and some petg.

For all the rest write us at https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/59381-pear3dch or here in forum we will help you as we help all the happy ones who did build it.😉

Cheers

Hi,

I build one by buying the right V-Slot profiles inbetween but IT would be nice to use this cheaper profiles in the Pictures, i have a complete frame laying around and without using rolls für Motion, you don't Need the Guide of the V-Slot Profile....

Hi There i saw you made it already, it will work also if you file a bit the parts, there is no issue with that.

I like your build looks very authentic 😉

I think your support is more than everyone here can expect. I'm very happy that I'm not the only one who found the stock architecture of the Mini to weak....and you invested all your time in this great project. Also some thanks to @tomson!

One question left for my mod, the Slicer Profile you provide includes a Change of the e-steps for e Axis from Mini to mk3s only? And how to change the Temperature in the load/unload gcode to Petg instead of pla?

Thanks a lot

Haribo Mod

Hey,

To be honest i don't know If i want to...my main interest would be to use these other profiles i bought, because the Aluminium frame is nice and Stiff..but grinding all parts at the latches/noses is not possible...and cutting is dangerous...

I'm a little helpless at the Moment....

Extruder for Stock Mini gears

Another question,

I printed Out the three parts you provided, but the two Case parts didn't fit correctly together i think...have you tested them by yourself?

yes that is the case i use for all the mini mods, it doesen't fits perfectly, but you can use the one Tomson did, it is more aestetical here is the link :

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/64478-buddyboard-case-remix-mini-bear/files

For the other aluminium extrusion you could use a soldering iron if you have the parts already printed, if you dont have the parts printed, can you please mesure the exact slot distance i will try to modify them for you and maybe will be in use by someone else also in the future.

Happpy printing

cheers

Missunderstanding

Hello again,

Sorry that i confused you...i was speaking about the rear and front Case of the Prusa Mini Extruder Direct drive (Mini Stock Extruder).

I measured Out the Aluminium profiles. Both (Standard V-Slot and the b-profiles) have got 6mm Slots, middle to middle distance ist 20mm (both). Only the Angle of the chamfer is differing.

I will Swatch for a drawing

RE: Hi FirstLayer

You can also use pear.3d:s f3d-file to modify the plastic parts. Prusa Mini -> MK3s (SmokiStyle) Upgrade Bear by pear3d.ch

If you have your profile in cad you can just place the plastic parts there you want them and split body of the plastic parts.

Good luck/Tomson

I got confused lol, i see the mini original extruder is not tested yet, it is a work on progress, need to see when i can do that

you did print that? show some pictures if you did so it will help me in further improve its design.

Thanks mate
