Mini minimum size for enclosure. With and without the spool inside

Hi

There have been mentioned some sizes, but not any exact measurements. I want to spend the waiting time for my mini to arrive, on building an enclosure.

What is the minimum width, length and height required for the mini? With and without the spool holder.

And I know the Ikea lack option, but I want to build a custom enclosure.

It would be a great help if one of you who already have a mini would measure it for me? Including the space needed for all the parts to move. 🙂

I would suggest you need to go as big as you can because you will find you will be forever having to reach around to fix something, find the end of the filament and get it into the bit of bowden tube etc etc.

Despite being the latest iteration they are still a tinkerers machine. so don’t get too constrictive on size unless you really have to.

I built a dual enclosure for my Mk3S and the mini. Two completely seperate sides.

The internal measurements of the side for the mini are

415 mm wide ( at the entrance ) and 430 beyond that

600 mm high (At highest half) and 520 mm high at the front. The sloped front half is about half the depth but clearly not that important how wide I made it.

650 mm Deep.

There is way plenty room deep and high but the width is about the minimum easy usable.
