Extruding TPU Filament

I am absolutely brand new to 3D printing (about a month) so I am sorry if this has already been asked.  A friend gave me a spool of SainSmart TPU filament.  I don't see any options on filament screen for TPU.  Has anyone been successful in being able to print with this filament?  Any guidance you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

This might help

key issues are slow speed and very low extruder tension

The Mini *can* print TPU.  But if this is your first month I'm betting you can't...

Put the TPU away for now.  Take it out again this time next year.

Printing Flex is ... tricky.  Better to make your early mistakes with cheaper filament and build experience with PLA and PETG.  Once you have done so you will be able to add Flex to your stable without too much frustration.  Tell your friend you are saving it for a suitable project and surprise him/her with something in due course.

There is a preset for Sainsmart TPU btw.

Cheerio,

RE: Extruding TPU Filament

My Mini+ had zero issues printing TPU. I slowed down my speed and adjusted the extruder tension screw to the point where it would just pick up the TPU filament.  It is far easier than I thought it would be on the Mini+. I normally would have done it on my i3 MK3S+ but it was printing a 13 hour print and I need a wheel because my friend broke one on my Jeep.  I did not think it would work so well. I ended up printing 3 wheels so I would have a few extra.
