Bondtech Extruder settings for PETG

All:

I have both the heat break and the extruder from Bondtech on my mini.  I have been print well with them for some time now, probably have over 500 hours on the combination.   It prints PLA gorgeously, and does a solid job with PETG.  I realize there is always going to be some stringing, but was wondering if anyone has done any other setting changes other than extrusion/flow adjustments?

Did you ever find settings that worked?

if so can you share those?

I also have the heat break and the extruder from Bondtech on my mini.

The only difference is I put a 0.6mm nozzle on mine and wow do I get great prints in half the time.

PETG prints Great for me.  I have found with the 0.6mm nozzle I need to turn on the 'Detect Thin Walls' setting or my prints just turn our bad.

I do dry my filament and that reduces stringing and little pimple like marks on the surface.

RE: Bondtech Extruder settings for PETG

I've been having problems with PETG since installing the Bondtech extruder on my Mini+. I'm fairly new to 3D printing so I didn't know what could be causing all the stringing with Prusament PETG and 3rd party PLA (Prusament PLA is printing okay, but not as good as before). After messing around with string tower tests and playing with temperature and retraction settings, nothing has helped. I'm now suspecting over-extrusion with the recommended M92 E415 setting. I'm starting to try lowering the E value to see if that helps. The symptoms I've experienced (especially with PLA) are massive stringing, and blobs showing up (sometimes brown when printing with white filament, indicating burning?). I'll let you guys know if I find a better extrusion step setting for PETG.
