Underextruding on first layer while rest of the layers are perfect

Title says it all. My first layer is underextruding. Rest of my layers are perfect with extruding the right amount of filament. I noticed this after the last profile updates, so maybe it is related to that

I can't find any setting in prusa slicer to remove or adjust this.

Maybe custom g-code so 100 extrusion rate first layer rest on the default 95 or something.

Or reveal where I can adjust this setting, maybe it is somesort of elafant feet correction. But it ruins my prints.

Live Z lower should sort the first layer!

Hi,

underextrusion could be related to several things, on a first layer a few things come to mind:

1 - first layer height - I know, I know, but worth checking

2- check the g-code for anything unsual - I usually star here

3 - extruder tension - my most frequent culprint, the extruder needs more tension in the screw so it does not skip, also could need calibration on the stepper voltage

4 - check alignments - it happens, for some reason the nozzle is not alligned in one axis (not perfectly vertical)

@joantabb

I did this with my second print with the updated profiles. I lowered it from -1.167 to -1.223, while nothing had changed to my printer.

My printer is a mk3s, with a bondtech extruder upgrade

@sdrako

1 - after the profile updates the first print was a terrible first layer, so with the second one I lowered it to compensate -1.167 to -1.223

2 - I don't understand the g-code very well, but I check the layers in the slicer voor weird artifacts, they sometimes happen.

3 - was my first on my mind, checked it but no improvement. (Note if it comes loose while printing, put a little bit of loctite on the trhead of the screw, solved it for me).

4 - checked it now, seems completly vertical.

While typing this, I can also check and start an older g-code file and see what happens, I'll try that today.

@joantabb

Tried an older g-code, had to raise my z off set to -1.170 to get a nice first layer. So defintly something to do with the updated profiles.

Guess I just uninstall prusaslicer and reinstall and hopefully that fixes something. Some small optimisations I had for some of my filaments are easily recreated.
