Hello Heroes,

Slicer 2.3.0 and 2.2.0 add a half height empty layer above each of the printed layers.

The attached is an example of the empty layer above the first layer this happens to be a support.

This also happens on perimeters and other layers.

The effect is just like the ironing every layer, however it seems to be limited to repeat the "ironing" just from the last retraction to the end of the layer.

The effect of this is apparantly unnecessary movement is to cool the thermal break enough to allow the filament to freeze.

Any ideas on how to eliminate this movement?

The benefit would be faster printing and fewer filament freezes.
