Prusaslicer (win64) - Not Responding

Prusaslicer 2.2.0 and even 2.1.1 is not working.  It opens but hangs.   I've only had a 3D printer for a couple of weeks.  I started out with 2.1.1 for windows and then upgraded Prusaslicer 2.2.0 when released.  I was able to use both versions but then 2.2.0 started hanging.  I did an uninstall and reinstall and also reverted back to 2.1.1.  All versions / combinations are hanging.

RE: Prusaslicer (win64) - Not Responding

Hello,
I have the same problem. I didn't use the printer 2 month long. I think there was an update for driver by the videocard. I have an Geforce RTX2070. Now the software doesnt start and hangs on by starting.
I deinsalled the slicer and reinstalled it, but it doesnt work. I also reinstalled the newest drivers for the videocard.
Is there any advice?

I am using a RTX2060 and the m/b video.  I read another post somewhere that they had experienced hang after moving the application to another monitor that was on a different video card/driver and closing the app.  Coincidentally I had done that as well.  I tried to find a way to force the app to start on the original main display but couldn't so I renamed the "PrusaSlicer" directory in %APPDATA% (i.e. C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming) to "PrusaSlicer.orig".  The application started on the main default monitor.  I may have lost some settings, I'm not sure but it is working again and I will NOT be moving it to the other displays.  It might be a coincidence but I'm too lazy to test it.

Theres a whole thread in this section about it.  It even lists what part of the config file you have to edit for it to go back to the main screen iirc.  Finding it though with the forums search function may be a little bit difficult though.

I'll see if I can find it and post the link.  hat way you can copy the original directory back and get your settings.

BTW in future you can go to File>Export>export Config Bundle and save all your custom settings to a file wherever you like.  The you can import them back in wherever and on whatever computer you like too.

Edit , found it, didnt take as long I thought - https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/pursaslicer-2-0-0-not-responding/

please post the link if you can find it.  I was grasping at straws and swinging the BFH trying to troubleshoot.   I'll definitely export them after I define them again.  The good news is that I haven't been doing this 3D print thing long enough to have much of a collection.  most of my changes were probably equivalent to a monkey banging on the keyboard anyway.  This may be a good thing.  (no offense meant to monkeys).
