Prusaslicer supports bridges despite selecting "Don't support bridges"

Hello,

I'm using PrusaSlicer on a Mac running Catalina. It generates supports under bridges despite checking the option "Don't support bridges". Are there any other settings I need to select to make the function work?

Thanks!

Well it does say it's experimental.

You can use support blockers to prevent support being generated. Or alternately you can  use support enforcers and set "Supports" on the main page to "For Support Enforcers only"

Thank you. And I guess that the new way to set support enforcers being rolled out in prusaslicer 2.3 will make it much easier to do so.  I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.

Cant do much without more information.  Best way is to save your project (File>Save As) which will save a 3mf file.  Take that 3mf file and ZIP it up and then attach it here.  It must be zipped or the forum wont accept the file type.

With a 3mf project we can then slice it exactly as you are doing as it will contain the model, your settings and any modifiers or placements etc.

Also it would help to know which version of PS you are running.

@neophyl

Here is the file. Cuisinart Griddle Knob.3mf. It's a knob I designed to replace one that had broken in a griddle. I had to print it horizontally because when I printed it vertically, the thin tabs broke when I installed it in the griddle. You can see that supports are generated for the hole in the middle, which prints just fine without them. I ended up using a support blocker for that area, but it would have been easier if the function not to support bridges had worked. I installed PS 2.3 yesterday, but the same behavior occurred with version 2.2. I'm running it on a Macbook with Catalina.

Thanks!

The link to github for Prusa Slicer is https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues

However the first thing they will ask for is your zipped up project file and a clear description of the issue that is repeatable/reproducible on another system.

So if you would like to post it here as requested a few posts up we can take a look for anything obvious before you add another issue to the 1700 already open ones.

Here is the file. I'm really curious if you can reproduce the problem. Thank you for looking into it...

It won't let me attach files using the link below. It works if I attach it as media.Cuisinart Griddle Knob
