PrusaSlicer: filament configs disappear if I load an external filament profile

Hi,

Somehow, my PrusaSlicer 2.2.0 on Win10Pro looses all filament info.

I run the config wizard, select the profiles appropriate for the prusa mini.

The I load an external profile (hotorange3d ABS) and all preinstalled filaments are gone?!

What am I doing wrong?

Kind regards,

marout

Does this 'external profile' have a non prusa printer defined at all ?

The profile system uses a hierarchy system and they interact as to what is allowed to use the different profile types.  Most of the filaments the wizard allows you to install are part of the Prusa vendor space.  This means your selected printer has to also be part of that vendor space to be able to view the filaments.  Its why even when you set a Prusa MMU2 printer some of the filament options disappear  as they are set to not be compatible with the MMU.

You can save copies of any you like when you can see them (with a prusa printer installed and selected) but when saving please remember to use the Detach button located in the  Filament profile>dependencies area.

If thats not what is happening then we are going to need to you attach a sample project with the issue or this external profile you are using to debug anything further.  Please zip up any files like projects or profiles or the forum here wont accept them.

@neophyl

I don't know is a printer profile is attached...

But I see what you mean. I have to go back to the 'printers' tab, select 'original prusa mini' and all my filament reappears.
