With the information you have given, then no.  Not really.

You could try zipping into an archive your problematic stl file and attaching it here.  It must be zipped up for the forum to accept the file type as stl are not allowed.

Once we have it then someone can try loading it into their windows 10 system and see if it has the same problem.  Of course it would also be helpful to know exactly what version of Prusa Slicer you are using.  You know, basic information to make trying to duplicate your issue possible.

My very unhelpful answer is, I don't have any problems on any of my Win10 systems. All that means is, it's not "PS not working on Win10".

To be more constructive—in the absence of any more information—, are you seeing the crash just on one specific STL? In which case you could post it here so others can try to replicate the issue.

If it's any file that makes your PC bluescreen, I would make sure a) you're on the latest version of PrusaSlicer and Win 10, and b) disable everything that your PC loads at startup to see if there's an application conflict that causes that behavior. To do that, launch Task Manager, go to the Startup tab, right-click everything and pick disable. If the problem is "fixed", one by one re-enable the apps. Of course that requires a lot of restarts. Another approach that cuts time in half is to disable half of the apps, restart, check, and if the problem is fixed, it must be one of those apps. If not, re-enable them, disable the other half, try again. Once you know which set of apps causes the issue, disable half of those. Rinse and repeat.

@fuchsr

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I don't have a blue screen, just my PC freezes completely "frozen keyboard and mouse" 15 seconds after starting STL import in Prusa.

Even the "Ctrl Alt Del" key combination does not allow me to access the task manager.

I have to force shutdown the PC by holding down the power button.

I put you a download link of the STL files. So that you can experiment with my files.

Thank you in advance for your help

@traderpierre

you can attach a zipped copy of the STL file. I doubt, well atleast I wont, sign up to ads and who knows what.

Yes, zipping and uploading here is the preferred way to go.

However, I did download the two stls, and both load fine for me. However, one grabbed 3 GB and the other one 5 GB of memory on my system (6 core I5, 24 GB memory). I must say I've never paid any attention to how much memory Prusaslicer needs but I guess these are unusually high numbers.  It took them a couple of minutes to get sliced. I don't know where you got the files from but maybe you can get version rendered with lower complexity. Also, both files have a pretty high number of errors. I tried to run them through netfabb but got an "out of memory" error.

Maybe you just run out of memory on your computer. Or you can try to load them into another slicer such as Cura.

@traderpierre

I have done some repair functions with S3D. The files are too big for netfabb: www.kgolger.at/Sonstiges/t-HLPRJPCIRo_S3D.zip

Statt zu klagen, dass wir nicht alles haben, was wir wollen, sollten wir lieber dankbar sein, dass wir nicht alles bekommen, was wir verdienen.

@fuchsr

I have a 4-core PC "Intel i5-3570K processor at 3.40GHZ" with 16G0 of Ram and Windows 10 64Bits.

I modeled these files myself in SolidWorks 2020 and then converted them to STL with SolidWorks as well.

Following the crashes, I uninstalled Prusa with Total Uninstall which also removes all files from the registry.
Then I reinstalled Prusa and I have the same problem again !!!!
