Own Printer model in wrong Position

Hi all,

I have created an STL of my modified Ender5 to place in the Slicer but its always in the wrong position.

Even I rotate in CAD (Catia) its still in the same wrong position.

I used a Ender5 Sample File for Prusa Slicer to orient my file but no success.

How this needs to be oriented to be in the right location in the slicer window?

THX!

Assuming PrusaSlicer, you can orient in any position using the 'part manipulation' boxes.

If all you want is to place it in a convenient position for printing, there's the 'place face' tool in the left vertical toolbar.  A recent issue showed that the 'place face' is more accurate than manually keying in the numbers.

@jsw

I don’t think he means a -ringing model, I think he is talking bout the ability you have to define a custome image or stl file as the printer model and bed. Basically you can assign an image to the bed which is what Prusa does for it’s printers but you can go further and add an stl which when done properly can add a model of your printer to the slicer window to give you a visual representation of it. While I know you can do that I have no idea how to help with the issue

I suggest asking over on the github site.

Yes, i mean bed and printer model file in the background of the Slicer.
