Is there any way I can export a repaired mesh file of a model from Prusaslicer

Hi I am a MK3 owner and I use Zbrush to create my models.  Prusaslicer does a great job of fixing the meshes from Zbrush that a lot of the time have some flaws after using the boolean feature in Zbrush.  I want to give a friend some of my  models that I print on my Mk3 to try to print on their MSLA resin printer.  They use Chitubox slicer for their printer.

Is there any way I can export the fixed file of the model from Prusaslicer so they can use it with Chitubox?

If not where can I get the same mesh  repair functionality that Prusaslicer has?

Thanks.

You can export about anything from your printbed to a .stl file in PrusaSlicer.  If your other programs can take a .stl file and work with it, you're in luck.

I mostly use FreeCAD for drafting, and yes, with caveats, it can make a .stl file editable.

I tried using  Export / plate as STL ,  but I found that it does not export the fixed mesh.

It apparently exports the same mesh as originally imported.

The repair option will attempt to fix a file on disk. It only produces .obj files so your buddy will need to confirm Chitubox can accept that format.

Perhaps Netfabb?

Bobstro, I am not sure I understand this "The repair option will attempt to fix a file on disk".  Can you explain please. How can I get the repaired file in Obj format out of Prusa slicer?

Load the repaired .obj into PSlicer, export the object as a .stl.

"Load the repaired .obj into PSlicer, export the object as a .stl."

I am looking to export a repaired file out of prusa slicer, so not sure what you are referring to with that above.

So a correction on my part.

apparently export plate as stl is exporting the corrections made by prusa slicer

what through me off is that it looks like after the mesh repair done in prusa slicer, there are still non manifold edges left on the mesh, so i assumed it was not fixed,  I guess these non manifold edges are some how part of the fix?

can any one explain this?  thanks

Well -

1) Open PrusaSlicer
2) Use FILE-Repair_STL_file ...
2a) Point the filename window at the STL file you want to repair (e.g., BAD_FILE.STL)
2b) Hit ENTER ... PSLicer will repair the file and create a new file (BAD_FILE.OBJ) in the same location
3) Use FILE-Import-<OBJ> to load the repaired file (or drag the file into the PSLicer window)
4) Once the file is loaded, use FILE-EXPORT-Plate_as_STL

...

And, while the embedded NetFabb repair utility is good, it can't fix everything. If on Windows 10, you can also use 3D BUILDER to repair files. 3D Builder is a free app available from the store.
