How to stop the automatic scaling down of large prints when importing stl files? This new feature is not good and ruins dimensions.

The new Slicer automatically scales down prints that are too large for the print bed and does not give the option to import them in the correct size. I use the MK3 for business and have a large selection of different objects that I pick from in one STL file. The sizes are critical for assembly of the parts. Importing these files results in automatically scaling them down and ruins the dimensions that are needed for accurate assemblies. Resizing the objects to normal size in the Slicer is not accurate at all. Redoing all my STL file to make sure they fit when importing is too much work and should not be necessary. The new feature added to the Slicer takes away an important control users need, it makes things  much harder for certain types of files. Is there a way around this without resizing or changing the STL files?      When importing STL files the pop-up screen should ask first if the size should be changed - please give the users the control over this so they have a choice.

Just tried the coming PS version 2.3.0 alpha and it also does automatic down scaling if the object is too large. This should be reported as an issue here on GitHub.

Normally a very big or tiny model indicates a mix of metric and imperial - for that purpose the new version has two conversions "Convert from imperial" and "Convert to imperial", with this function there is not the same need for automatic conversion.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

After the slicer has automatically scaled down your object to fit your print bed, in the "Object Manipulation" box in the lower right corner, you can "Undo" the scale operation the slicer automatically made. You need to click the "Undo" orange button next to "Scale factors".
