how to change defaults

I'm brand new to this world. When I have prusaslicer open, on the right side of screen there is "print settings", "filament", "printer". They all say "default". How do I change the settings? When I click on the drop down arrow it gives me no options.

@joantabb

That's the question, how do you change the values?

RE: how to change defaults

Normally when installing you run through the configuration wizard.  That allows you to select one of the preset printers or create a basic starting point for a custom one.  It will also have several (or lots depending on the printer(s) selected ) filaments and print presets too.

These can then be changed by selecting from the dropdowns.  The dropdowns correspond to the 3 tabs for Print, filament and printer settings, located at the top.  There are 4 there, plater (which is the virtual printer bed where you can load models), print settings (which allow you to configure print related values), filament (which allows you to set up and define filament values like size, cooling etc) and finally Printer (which is where you define all the printer characteristics and start/end gcode for your printer).

If you are completely unfamiliar with Prusa Slicer/Slic3r then please visit https://help.prusa3d.com/en/category/prusaslicer_204 which is the online knowledge base.  There are also plenty of videos available on Youtube with a quick search.
