Anyone having issues running Slicer 2.3.0 after the latest Windows update?

So I updated Windows and now Slicer won't run at all.  I click the icon to launch the software and literally nothing happens.  I've tried restarting, removing the Slicer software, and re-downloading and unzipping the program file.  No solution found yet.

I am having the same issue since updating to Windows 10 20H2. I have the same build as towlerg and the program will not open. I tried restarting, updating drivers, reinstalling, deleting the files from AppData/Roaming, with no improvement.

I am on 20H2 (19042.870) and am not having any problems. It must be something you two are doing that is causing the problem.

Try going to Control Panel -> Programs & Features and uninstalling anything with Prusa in it's name., it should include Prusa3D version 2.3.0 and PrusaSlicer version 2.3.0 then there will be some called things like "Windows Driver Package - Prusa Research s.r.o Prusa i3 Plus MK3 3D printer (02/13/2013 1.0.0.0)" depending on the printers you own.

Now go to the folder Program Files -> Prusa3D and delete it.

Then do the same to any Prusa folders in Users -> <username> ->AppData -> Roaming

Also go to Users -> <username> ->AppData -> Local -> Temp and delete everything you can from in there.

Now re-download the relevant Drivers & Apps package  from: https://www.prusa3d.com/drivers/

Once downloaded run the exe file and reinstall.  Watch carefully for any error messages.

Once done, reboot your PC.

If you get any error messages post them here...

Uninstalling the Windows update resolved my issue.

I have done those steps many times, and I think the phrasing "something you two are doing" is a little misleading. I think it is more likely that we have different hardware set-ups than you, not something we are "doing".

I looked into this a bit, and while I don't have it solved, the issue I am having is to do with the graphics card and docking stations, and it is connected to the graphics card update. My laptop is connected to two monitors, through a docking station, and when I try to open PrusaSlicer or Solidworks, neither works. If I disconnect from it, all of a sudden everything works. There is an Intel driver that fixes the issue and lets me open PrusaSlicer, but it causes its own problem, because that particular driver doesn't support OpenGL 2.0 or higher. @gina-o

I didn't mean it to sound condescending, it does sound like you're on the right track with that intel driver though. Hopefully someone with experience of a similar setup will stop by and help out.
