Support structure strength issue

Hello friends,

Just got my SL1 kit assembled and dialling in the setting with the Prusa Orange Tough

I have the following print at 0.05mm layer, 8/35 exposure, 2mm support diameter but I kept having part of the print getting tear off from the support. I also got a bit of warping on the base.

Anything I am missing from the settings?

The same file prints okay on my Anycubic Photon.

Make sure that your platform is properly secured and leveled. For some reason after the Wizard process my platform was never leveled properly and I was having similar issues to what you describe. I manually leveled the platform with a bubble level and my issues went away. My LCD prematurely failed and since installing the new LCD the auto-leveling wizard is working fine and printing works without the manual leveling.

@gnat

Thanks, platform leveling do you mean the whole SL1 machine or the build plate?

Leveling the entire printer is a good thing to do, but the build plate in relation to the printer is the important part. That is of course easier if the printer itself is already level.
