Print Holder Screws Not Centered

I received my SL1 kit a couple days ago - it's been an enjoyable build and I'm looking forward to using my printer, but I ran into an alignment issue on step 26 - print platform part preparation.

On my print holder piece, the through-holes for the screw threads aren't centered with the recesses for the screw heads, causing the screws to not make it all the way through the print holder into the print platform.

By my caliper measurements, the through-hole holes are 7mm from the edge of the part everywhere, and are 4.05mm in diameter, putting the center ~ 9mm from the left and right of the part.  The screw head holes start at 5.8mm from the edge on the left side (notch opening downwards), and 5.1mm on the right side.  That puts the center of the screw head holes ~9.34mm from the edge on the left, and 8.64mm on the right.

Is the misalignment part of the design?  I can't get the screws to go through the print holder without forcing them, so I feel like the heads / holes are misaligned on this part.  The print platform is pretty critical to the operation of the SL1, so I'm worried about stripping the screws in the platform if I force them through the print holder.

RE: Print Holder Screws Not Centered

I just finished building mine a couple of days ago and I'm having the same problem... check the screw hole on your cantilever because I have the same problem there as well.

Can you put the screws in through the other way? In your picture the screws shouldn't be going through that side anyway. I'm chatting with support right now and they said you should contact them through their chat.

I made these videos to show what issues I have having with them:

Thanks for the reply!  I ended up forcing the screws through the print holder several times to cut enough clearance to get the print holder to lie flat on the platform.  Definitely not ideal, but I'm really impressed by the quality of my first prints and I don't think I damaged the threads on the platform.

I assembled the parts with the screws the other way - I inserted them backwards for the picture to illustrate how offset the centers of the holes are.

Awh ok, I'm glad to hear you were able to get a print. I've been working with support because for the life of me I cannot get this thing to print anything. I feel like I'm going to waste all my resin just trying to get a first print...

Did you have the same problem with the cantilever screw?

I did, but forcing the screw to cut clearance in the cantilever part worked for me there too.

I normally wouldn't recommend adding force to solve problems screwing stuff together, but doing it carefully addressed my clearance issues.

I made sure to only force the screw through the outer pieces (the print holder part and the outer portion of the cantilever that isn't threaded) to not strip the threads in the print bed / cantilever.
