CW1 Q: How often do I need to replace the IPA in the container?

The doc for CW1 says:

Q: How often do I need to replace the IPA in the container?
A: This depends on frequency of washing, but from our experience, the IPA loses its
washing properties after around 2 months of frequent use

What is "frequent use" ?? every day, ones per week or ?

RE: CW1 Q: How often do I need to replace the IPA in the container?

i haven't changed mine yet, and I have used several litres of resin...

a lot depends upon how much waste resin is introduced into the cw1..

one of the biggest contributors is the top of the build plate. after a print completes, there is a significant film  of resin on the back of the build plate. I scrape as much of this, off into the tank as possible, and avy drips on the underside of the build plate as possible, this alone significantly reduces the contamination.
also decanting the wash solution into a tall container allows the waste particulate matter to sediment out for separation, i then re use the bulk of the solvent / resin mixture and put the sediment into another smaller thinner jar, where the sediment will again settle out, allowing you to recover more solvent. I then allow the sediment rich residue to harden in sunlight, in an open tray, and dispose of the solid  waste at the waste collection centre. i did look at trying to distill the alcohol out of the waste, but that brought up customs and excise issues.. so I dropped the idea.

i also do  secondary wash of parts with fresh IPa, to reduce the remaining resin contamination, and after a few uses I add this partly contaminated IPA into the main bath, to make up for losses...

I have literally just ordered some more IPA so will probably refresh the bath soon!
