verification error flashing mmu2s

I've been trying to post in this forum and keep getting a 403 forbidden error from word fence when I try to post the log of the flash process...

Hi All!  I hope someone can help me!

Summary of the problem:

I have assembled the MMU2s.  The new 3.8.1 firmware flashed successfully to the MK3S.  However, I get an error every time I flash the MMU2S firmware.  I am using Linux Mint 19.1 and I DO NOT have access to a windows machine.  I also have some raspberry pi boards if that is a viable option for flashing firmware to the MMU2S.

  I saw the known issues connecting in Ubuntu with ModemManager.  I have uninstalled modemmanager to resolve the known issues with that code.   The log shows the firmware is writing, however verification fails every time.  After Flashing, I can use the buttons on the MMU2S to move the selector among the 5 filament positions. I suspect the firmware is written in some form.

I am using the appimage version of PrusaSlicer and have run it as root also, to no avail.

I used this command in terminal to run as root:

sudo ./PrusaSlicer-2.2.0-alpha1+linux-x64-201912201649.AppImage

Below is the log (with error message I get from PrusaSlicer 2.2.0 alpha1 linux x64 201912201649). I have also tried to use 1.0.5 MMU2S with 3.7.1 MK3S and the 1.0.5 fails in a similar fashion to the 1.0.6.

Thank you for helping me to resolve this issue.

Happy Holidays! <3

Dani

The last bit of the logfile:  Anyone know why pasting the entire logfile gives me a 403 error???

Reading | ################################################## | 100% 0.15s

avrdude-slic3r: verifying ...
avrdude-slic3r: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x4080
                0xff != 0x80
avrdude-slic3r: verification error; content mismatch

avrdude-slic3r: safemode: hfuse reads as D8
avrdude-slic3r: safemode: efuse reads as CB
avrdude-slic3r: safemode: Fuses OK (E:CB, H:D8, L:FF)

avrdude-slic3r done.  Thank you.

On Linux, you may have an issue of the modem manager grabbing the serial ports.

@bubnikv

Thank for the reply..  I uninstalled modemmanager prior to flashing the mmu2s.......The firmware does seem write, it's just not passing verification.

Update: Prusa sent a new MMU2S circuit board and it is working now with flashing the firmware.
