Slicer adding extra filament not needed in print

Hello,

I am new to using the MMU2.  I have a print that has three filaments (white, clear, and soluble; position 1, 2, and 3).  When I slice my model, Slicer uses all three filaments and then puts in a layer for filament 5.  I tried setting the extruders by right clicking on the part in Slicer and specifying only filaments 1, 2 or 3; however, Slicer continues to try to use filament 5 which is unloaded.

Is there a way to turn off filaments 4 and 5 since I don't need them?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Michael

IIRC there is something about soluble material having to go (or being expected to be) in slot 5 which I've seen discussed before but can't recall the details on. This is probably the source of your issue.

@vintagepc

Thanks!  In Slicer it looks like filament 5 should be the soluble support.  I'll try it.

Yes, slicer was assuming filament 5 was the soluble support.  Thanks!
