Printer (MK3S w/MMU2S) reboots when trying to print

Finished the build, loaded two filaments and went to print the Prusa beer opener. The printer heated up, did the 9-point bed check, moved to the home position and stopped. A few seconds later it rebooted. The MMU was lit up but appears that none of the filament advanced towards the extruder. The printer was working perfectly last night and I would imagine would continue to do so if I removed the MMU.

Did the usual power off/on made sure cable were set properly on the Einsy board and the board in the MMU. All secure.

2019-11-29 14.55.22 (A link to a video I made showing the reboot)

Idler shows that filament is installed

Have you tried "load to nozzle"? Before you try printing something the first time or after making changes/adjustments, make sure you can load and unload each filament to the nozzle (use the printer control panel).

Your photo shows some evidence of grinding dust on the bondtech gear of T1, that needs to be cleaned out. Load filament into all 5 ports and check your alignment on the bondtech gears.

Check the power terminals on your printer. When you connected the MMU you may have a slight loose connection. when the MMU fires up all its motors while the printer is hot, it may draw enough power to brownout the motherboard. Worth a tripple check.

There is also a known issue where the printer will reboot if the two filament sensors (IR, FINDA) disagree, esp. if the FINDA reads 0 but the IR reads 1. Check and calibrate them both.

@vintagepc and @joshua_w_smith thank you both for you replies.

What is the best way to calibrate the IR and FINDA?

It's in the user guide.  Also, here:

https://help.prusa3d.com/article/wprwemqsmj-ir-filament-sensor-calibration

https://help.prusa3d.com/article/5zefw47mqa-finda-setup-troubleshooting

But it all boils down to making sure they read 1 when filament is present, 0 when not, and do not flicker to incorrect states as filament moves or the machine is bumped.
