MMU2s and custom Extruder with IR Filament Sensor

Dear Prusa Members, please Help 😉

I just got my MMU2s build and mounted. It all turns out great right now. There is just one big issue. I am a big fan of the Skelestruder Extruder Upgrade. I already redesigned parts of it, to fit the original IR Sensor (look on thingiverse and here). i Upgraded the filament path so it slides in very easy but still detects the filament at the extruder very reliable. but there is one big issue, i guess most of the people who read this far know it already. The skelestruder has a bigger gap between the IR Filament Sensor and the extruder gears. i know that the sensor tower has been build to really measure once the filament goes into the bondtech gears. But somehow i prefer to keep it the skelestruder way. Is it possible to change the code to add a little extra extrusion to the loading process to pass the gap between the ir sensor and the bondtech gears ?

Just like a mixture of the old mmu2 without the ir sensor and the new way ? so once the ir sensor sees the filament it moves the filament like 8mm further into the bondtech gears and does not stop immediatly ? at best with a permanenct gcode modification and not a firmware update so it keeps its settings once the firmware gets updated ?

You would help me a lot. cheers

johannes
