Interface pattern

Hi everybody,

I'm absolutely amazed how good PLA works as support for PETG. It separates super easy as if it never sticked together and leaves a smooth surface behind. Is there a way to change the pattern of the interface? It's seems it is set to cubic by default.

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers

RE: Interface pattern

That sounds like it's almost too good to be true. How are slicing support material in PLA?

Too late to edit above

That sounds like it's almost too good to be true. How are you slicing so that support material is PLA?

RE: Interface pattern

You need an MMU2(s) for this. Just use the „soluble Interface“ Profile. It uses your default filament for the supports but puts an interface layer on top of the support just with whatever material you have in slot 5 (you can adjust that). I believe it‘s slot 4 on the previous MMU.  You can also use the soluble profile and it prints all support in PLA for example but this will result in many material swaps.
