joan, check out this crazy "silk bronze filament" from china.. I think it looks nuts abit of a green sheen that doesn't show up on film.

Strange!

Re: Time to get busy!

Hi Joan,
I had layer issue with striped lizard model before. It’s an effective model to check for layer skip.

Re: Time to get busy!

Sorry to dissappoint you in your excitement but the MMU2 is far from being used reliably. The firmware itself is totally crappy and even the homing is not implemented properly. Check this request with all the links attached: https://github.com/prusa3d/MM-control-01/issues/103

I'm afraid that no one in Prusa is currently working on fixing/improvement of any of the older models. Because the deadline for SL1 is getting closer and I expect it to be the same story as with all the previous models. Now we should make some presure as a comunity to fix all the bugs that are in MMU2 otherwise they just pretend everything is fine...

Re: Time to get busy!

And don't get me wrong...you can convince it to work but you spent a lot of effort troubleshooting thinks that should have been sorted out by Prusa.

I appreciate what you say,

I have been waiting for the replacement control board, and trying alternatives whilst I wait, even prusa has trouble with Time warping, (otherwise he would have warped time, and got stock issues sorted in the past. Lol

hopefullu the replacement parts will arrive early next week...

Re: Time to get busy!

Indeed, Why shouldn't it work with MK2.5?

I got some problems with layer skipping (1 of 400 changes) so this mod helped me to solve the issue: https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/general-discussion-announcements-and-releases-f53/mmu2-another-solution-for-layer-skipping-due-to-fi-t25334.html
Together with small settings change:

I had my MK2.5 working after almost 2 months troubleshooting. It went to the point that I totally given up and made me order Palette 2.0. Now I have both MMU2.0 and Palette 2.0 connected to my MK2.5.

Have read all over the forums that pallete is wasting a lot of filament on wipe tower. How is it with reliability? Can it print BVOH or PVA supports?

Cool!! Because of your post, it gave me idea to print something for this coming Chinese New Year. I ordered silk gold from aliexpress.
I'm going to design gold with red key chain to sell to my Chinese friends. $$$$$

Thank you.

Re: Time to get busy!

Have a look at Plasty Mladeč, they do all kind of materials. For example the gold you are refering above: https://www.filament-pm.com/filament-1-75-pla-gold-1-kg/p64 . Plasty Mladeč makes filament for Prusa and Prusa just rebrands them and sells under their name (Prusa PLA). Therefore PM filament wors great with default profiles.

Thank you for sharing. The link you shared is not SILK gold. Silk gold is more vibrant than normal gold PLA filament.

Ok. I'm a man so not distinguishing so many details regarding colors...just basic 16 shades 😉
By vibrant you mean this? https://fillamentum.com/collections/pla-premium-filament/products/fillamentum-pla-extrafill-gold-happens?variant=930497519
