MK3-MMU2 to MK3S-MMU2S Free Upgrade Kits - Shipping Yet?
As title - have any of the MK3-MMU2 to MK3S-MMU2S free upgrade kits shipped yet? I have been watching for an unboxing and the upgrade manual but so far have not seen anything.

Yeah, bit of a poor show on this one; inital release notes said "next week"; I contacted support a few weeks back to be told that upgrades would be shipping starting the following week; one of my colleagues reached out to support on 14th March and was told his upgrade kit won't be shipped until 9th April ...
Make of that what you will, but the lack of communication is disheartening (as always). Prusa would have much happier customers if they just dropped a small update once in a while; even if it's just pushing the dates out- some comms is better than no comms.

I ordered mine on 2/18 and haven't gotten a shipping notice yet.

I redeemed my voucher about 4 hours after the email was received (17 Feb 2019 14:14:52 (GMT)). I received a shipping notification about 8 hours ago.

I submitted my order about 30 minutes after getting the voucher but still no shipping notice. It's probably being shipped by country in batches.

Hope it will resolve the issues I was facing. I stopped using MMU as soon as this upgrade was announced. Was done with all the failures.

Can anyone report on how the MMU2S is performing? I have the MK3 with MMU2 and I could not get it to even print 2 filaments at a time. Tried for 6 months, and now waiting for the MMU2S upgrade. Has the S upgrade resolved all the issues with the original MMU2? This radio silence actual users is disheartening, while Prusa continues to advertise their amazing MMU features.

"S" kit works, I can see it helping people with issues.
I did have to un-mod my printer for it to work. and the "filament management" is kinda sad, but it can work.
as long as your extruder doesn't have issues it is better. it knows when filament is at the extruder sensor. witch is nice. I hear it loading a 2nd time now and again.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Have you not been reading the threads here of late? I think they would give you some idea.
It certainly doesn't magically work, but there is promise that it is getting better.
While the new IR sensor is a downgrade in functionality (in my opinion), it is more reliable once you get it working properly. Many seem to be having trouble getting it to work and it seems to come down to the idler door. My advice is to do just the MK3S upgrade first and get it dialed back in with the IR sensor enabled. Once you can reliably print, then give the MMU a try again.
As far as the MMU is concerned the only change is the addition of the buffer. Some of us (especially when space is a concern) seem to prefer auto rewind spool holders than the buffer. Regardless, make sure the filament moves smoothly with no drag. My experience says that any drag will throw the MMU off and you'll get errors during tool changes.

You don't want the MMU2S. Trust me. I have YET to get SINGLE mode running reliably. Support decided to make fun of me for it. They thought it was funny.

Certainly. I owe Sarah an email with the videos. (She was way better than the sarcastic/mocking guy.)
I haven't had a chance to get them uploaded - work load exploded on me at work. I have quite a few videos, and will chain them together/make it presentable....and include bleeping. MMU2S has been nothing but a struggle... Original MMU2 had issues, but I was more successful with that.
I suspect firmware, based on what I'm seeing in Github... but I'm super-new to Github, and have very low C#/C++ knowledge, for now.
There IS a bit of an issue with the extruder body melting when printing PETG. Nothing is out of place, and everything is oriented properly. All built per the user guide on the web.
It may be toward the end of this week, or early next week. A NWS meeting and speaking engagement has me wall-to-wall busy.
