Last filament extrusion above wipe tower

Hi

This might be a very simple question. What is this last filament line above the wipe tower for (see picture)? It's printing in the air if the tower ended earlier. But it doesn't make sense to me because in single-color mode it doesn't need it.

Qustion

Hey,
I have purchased the Prusa MK3S and the Upgrade MK2MMU to MMU2S, but I do not have the MK2MMU. This is my first printer?
I am currently on step 8 of "4. Idler body assembly"
miss the "Extruder / Idler engine * what else do I need to complete my MMU2S and how much is the cost?
I would like to hear it as soon as possible? because I feel the table with parts; (

best regards,
M.A.

geki - it's the purge to form the tip when the filament is unloaded at the end of the print - its in mid air to save from printing the tower up to that level

Ok, makes total sense that it's in mid-air! Thanks! But forming the tip is also necessary after a single colorprint, isn't it?

In this case I would expect it to be in both modes.
