How do I best change filaments mid print with the MMU?

I have a print where I need more than 5 colors. I'd like to swap out the filament at a particular layer height. On the stock MK3, I use an M600 at particular layer heights, and it works great. What would be the best code to use to allow for filament changes, while the print pauses and waits for user input?

i just do mine manually. I wait till the color I'm changing out isn't needed anymore.

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

I usually do mine "manually" too.
(while a different color is printing, I'll pull out the color I want to change and re-feed the new color up to the MMU unit and try to get it lined up the best I can. Worst case, if you don't have the filament in all the way, the MMU2S "should" throw an error message and you can fix it and continue.

Or.....the "official" way is to click "change filament". That'll stop the print and ask you to change the current filament. What I've also done is keep the current filament in place and open the MMU2S and swap out the new color for the old color that I want to change. That way, you can get the tip into the other side of the MMU2, just before the FINDA, like it would be if you had the machine load it. Then you can close it up, click the button saying you're done and it'll purge some of the current color and ask if you're OK. Click to confirm everything looks good, it'll purge a little more and start printing again. I would suggest doing the change while it's on the purge block. this way, any little "blobs" caused by the change will hit the purge block, instead of the model.

There is very likely a M command that does the exact same thing as manually choosing to change filament. I'll just have to experiment to see what works
