MMU2S PETG Purge Block Troubleshooting

I have been trying to print PETG using the MMU2S, but every print I have done causes strands of filament to accumulate around my printer and for the purge block to have strands and blobs on every layer.

I have tried adjusting the temperature of the nozzle, the print speed, purge block width, and more settings than I can remember and I still can't print with PETG without my print and purge block failing. Does anyone know good settings that would make PETG easier to print with the MMU2S?

Best Answer by Paul:

I figured out the main problem was my extra loading distance under Printer Settings -> Single extruder MM setup -> Extra loading distance. I had to change mine from -25 to -15, and I can get PETG to print well even with TPU.

I really hope Prusa adds this to their MMU Manual and will add individual loading distances, as filament oozing between extrusions causes this value to change.

Thank you Paul, for asking the question and answering it as well 🙂

I'm having the exact same issues and this will be the first thing I will be trying on the weekend.
