MMU2 no power after assembly?

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the wiring and MMU2 electronics?  I checked power (24VDC at the connector) and polarity is correct, but I have no LEDs, no motor action, etc on power up from the MMU2 itself.

I tried hitting the reset switch next to the USB connector, but that got nowhere.  It does not autodetect via USB either.

The PINDA sensor RED LED does turn on as well, FWIW.

With the FINDA being lit shows that power is making it to and through the board. Are you sure the other cable is oriented correctly and in the correct port on the main board? If so then it's probably a bad board and you'll need to talk to support.

I'm thinking bad board. I double checked the cable and re-seated it.

I also checked all connections and they were fine.  I suspect a bad board - looks like this is happening to plenty of others.  Wonder what happened?

They had me try flashing the mmu. It doesn't show up in ports, they had me try with the signal cable removed and still nada. I'm fairly certain it's a bad board, and I understand the need to try stuff; but the turnaround time on emails (12 hours or so) makes for a long process.

Use the online chat. It's much faster.

I do when it's up but it wasn't available on the shop page yesterday until I was home (printer was at school where I teach). I got some things to try today; but the chat isn't showing up again.

Just an update, I have now swapped the MMU2S board and the EINSY board and still have no signs of life or USB connectivity from the MMU2S with either MMU2S board.  Awaiting on prusa's response on the next possible step.  Printer has been down for 3 weeks as I have it all apart for troubleshooting.  Ugh.

Update:

Still dead, no signs of life.  PRUSA in chat keeps asking me to email them more pictures, again and again and that they'll respond via email.  Not sure how their tech support system/staff is set up.  I haven't gotten them to reply to anything in over a week.

FWIW my MMU2 board acts like the described symptoms if the data cable is not connected - no lights, can't be flashed, etc. so you might want to start by verifying the cable is not broken, connected right, and the wires match the pictures in the online guide.

(Found while troubleshooting the fact it won't flash firmware. It works otherwise)

Mine was working fine right up until I updated the firmware for the printer, now the MMU2 doesnt power on.  I just get a single blinking light on the board itself not the LED's

This is a community support forum. Of course you're going to see a disproportionate number of people with the same complaints/issues. When was the last time *you* made a forum post that said "thanks, this thing works as I expect"? The bulk of people here are here because they have an issue and are looking for help with it. What's more, anyone making abnormally positive posts generally gets branded a fanboy.

I've had zero issues with actual support (live chat) when I've needed it, e.g. parts issues or advanced troubleshooting.

I just don't get it. You have a problem, come into the forums and make one post and it is complaining about tech support. You don't tell us what the problem is or what you have tried to fix the problem.

The wonderful people in this forum would be more than happy to help you. Tell us exactly what the problem is with your printer and what you have tried. We can work with it from there.

Actually they were great for me, Once I was able to contact them (my school network blocks the live chat). The sent me a replacement board as soon as they determined I got a dud. I then killed the board and they helped me order a replacement and had it out for me asap!

I have nothing but good things to say about prusa support and quality...I'm building my third (just bought 2 mk3s's to supplement my mk3s+mmu2s)
