Idler not manufactured to spec

Idler split at end away from motor. The hole for the bearing end of the idler did not properly align with the center of the bearing. Had to do the following:

1. Push the motor shaft through the idler. The motor shaft would not push through the idler and had use a small hammer to tap the motor shaft through the idler. Once to the other end the motor shaft would not align with the bearing center.

The idler assembly didn’t seem to be in spec for manufacturing since the motor shaft did not align with the bearing center.

Additional steps:

2. Remove the bearing from the idler

3. Slide bearing over the shaft

4. Press bearing into the idler. This is when the idler split.

Will the split in the idler cause the MMU2 to not work properly? Should I try to print another idler or will it work with the split?

My own stupidity caused the issue.  I use the wrong motor on the idler assembly.  BTW, there was no manual for how to assemble in the box.  Found assembly instructions online but did not read through in there entirety before I started to install.

The normal problem is splitting the other end by over tightenning the motor spindle clamp screws

you will probably find the roller pins difficult to undo, so it's probably worth trying what you have, before re printing!
