Filament change failures? Check your idler tumbler set screws.

I was getting periodic failures during my MMU2S prints.  After removing the two tension screws, I noticed that my idler tumbler was loose (I could easily wiggle it while the machine was on - it should not move when energized).  This resulted in the idler bearings not making the proper contact with the filament during filament swaps.  Tightening the two set screws solved my problems (might add locktite if this happens again).  Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is encountering similar symptoms.

how tight are yours? the instructions said to have screws just below flush.

I am having teriible times with the MMU upgrade, can't even get back to single color prints

I am not talking about the two in front that adjust the tension on the drive - I do keep those as suggested (just below flush).  The ones I was referring to are on the far left of the tumbler inside the unit (have to remove to two up front and lift the top pulley idler assembly away from you to reach).

Thanks for the clarification. I cracked the assembly on first build, so I will leave those alos.

It does seem I need the tensioners above flush
