Hey, so I did a Tutorial on the Nylock mod...
I would love your recommendations not only because it's my first video.

RE: Prusa Mk3 Nylock Mod

@IceDegu: Thank you for the Video.

Some suggestions for those who also want an adjustable bed:

  • instead of nyloc nuts I'd rather recommend using appropriate helical steel springs  or silicon tubes in that order. Those are IMHO better, less fiddly and less likely to destroy the expensive heatbed.
  • Please switch off and unplug the printer before you disassemble the heatbed.
  • Do not tighten the middle screw immediately because you bend the whole bed rather a lot.
  • When flipping over the bed, put sth. protective between it and the y-carriage to avoid scratching the bed (e.g. with the nuts of the u-bolts).
  • When using nuts, please put washer under those.
  • Do not use a low quality allen key.
  • Instead of turning hex nuts with pliers, get a 5.5mm wrench and use that.
  • In the Video, the heat bed was turned clockwise during disassembly as well as during reassembly. That twists the heatbed cable -- probably not by intention.

Make it a habit, not to touch the print surface with anything unnecessary, especially fingers. Puting stuff onto the steel plate in order to show sth. in the video is a bad habit people unfortunately imitate all the time.
