3d Upfitters enclosure?

Has anyone personally used the 3d Upfitters custom enclosure for the MK3S?

They have a version specifically for the MK3S with the MMU2S.

This is slightly smaller than one I've been considering building out of 24x24" pre-cut plexiglass sheets and 3d printed parts.  It's not cheap, but in the ballpark with a homebrew enclosure when everything is priced in, and it's ready to assemble with most everything included.

The one thing I like is that the air intake leads directly into the power supply, thus eliminating the need to dismount the power supply and relocate it outside of the enclosure.

The enclosure is featured on line here:

Any comments?

I have one of my Prusa MK3S in one.  It is a great design and well worth the price.

Thanks.

What internal temperature do you normally have in it?

Thanks.

That agrees with the 35-40C range that I saw on 'another network' as a suggested enclosure temperature.

On my original idea for the homebrew enclosure, I planned to use a Pi Zero and a couple of generic temperature sensors to do a rough regulation of the temperature by simply toggling the fan off and on.  Since the 3d Upfitters included fan is USB, it should be simple to do that as well.

Maybe I'm a bit naive, but I get the impression that precise temperature regulation is not imperative.

@jsw

I have been printing PLA, PETG, NYLON, ABS, PC, PC Blend, and Flexibles so far.  I have not needed that much control on the temperature.  I get it from 88-100 F or 31-39C and draft reduction.  That is enough to reduce warping and is good enough for me.

@jsw

I wish I got one. Heck, if prusa offerend them, they would owe me 100s.

I just got a confirming email on the order.

It included an admonition to please RTFM when assembling (I downloaded TFM a while back as I was first considering it) and a link to an article on how to properly remove the backing on the acrylic sheets without destroying them.

LOL, I declined the suggested US $8.99 'upgrade' to a set of steel knobs in lieu of the stock plastic.  😉
