IKEA Pax for my printer(s)

(I dont know how to rotate pictures)

Did a little project last summer with aluminum rig and acrylic glass but it went too complicated and bad. So I  rethinked and bought a Ikea PAX, shelfs, a drawer Maximera and two horisontal Utrusta for the acrylic glass.

First of all I was trying to get whole my printer MK3S MMU2S into one room between shelfs but it went a little bit strange with the MMU2S unit when feeding filament.

So I rethinked AGAIN and went like:

1. Removed the MMU2S unit from the printer and placed the MK3S on a shelf in the PAX.

2. Adjusted the above shelf to be so close the metallic frame as possible (5 cm).

3. Raised the Z level to mark where I will make hole for the shelf above the printer.

4. Maked the hole, 30 cm width and 1,5 cm deep

5. Checked length of all wires before make hole for them to MMU2S unit.

6. Ledstrips

7. Thermometer wired to back of the printer.

8. Add one more printer below the MK3S. (THE REAL PRINTER), this one is placed on a MAXIMERA drawer.

9. Because of the paper box drawer in my printer I couldn't get a door from IKEA so I measured and sawed out a bit of plywood to strengthen up the drawer, check the picture.

That's all before the new year. I will be back for 2020 and finish this project with acrylic glass, fix the box to filament rolls, longer ptfe tubes, cable strip, maybe longer cable to the LCD and attach all loose parts like PSU, MMU2S unit, filament buffer.

That is a neat enclosure idea.  I might have to look for these.
