Heatbed cable cover mods : Why these angles?

The Prusa Lack enclosure uses a cable cover than angles the cable 90° horizontally away from the RAMBo similar to this :

Another mod I saw angles the cable 60°, like this :

Why is the cable angled away from the RAMBo like that? It looks like these would cause collisions with prints. Wouldn't it be better and less strenuous on the cable to angle it 90° up? Is there any reason for not doing that?

I did the angle 90 degrees upwards once.

Cable bundle from the extruder caught it hard immediately when doing the mesh bed calibration.

Then let it come out of the left side.

Got caught in the frame.

Right side it is then.

yes, print collisions come to mind. their reasoning is that the cable is less likely to hit the back of their enclosure. i do not think these angled conections are a proper solution to this problem

I did a similar mod ot my MK2.5. Maybe something like what I did will work with MK3. Here is a rough sketch of what might work to completely clear build volume. You can check MK2.5 mod post if you'd like to see what I've done.
