Hi guys, is the Bondtech upgrade recommended for the MK3S? Looks like the Bondtech site only explicitly mentions compatibility with the MK3, though it adds that one can easily mod it to work with the MK3S sensor. https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/prusa-i3-mk2-5-mk3-extruder-upgrade/
Try a couple of searches here and on Facebook. I think I saw a comment that someone had integrated the Mk3s sensor with a viable bondtech setup!

I run one and like the improvement it gave. No heat creep in an enclosure is worth it even without the better extrusion. With the MK3S you will need a new X carriage for it, I use this one https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3560116 . Bondtech has .stl files for the correct filament housing for the MK3S sensor. You will need custom firmware or the one provided by Bondtech to pass Z axis calibration. I am running a custom firmware and have upgraded to the revised X axis, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3559732 , to get belt adjustability. I have also added new Z motor mounts and braces that are a bit beefier.
A bit old of a thread now, but you do not need a new X carriage for it, you get everything you need from Bondtech EXCEPT for the proper MMU2s required sensor - the stl files Bondtech has are for the non MMU2s version.
You can get the needed parts to make the MK3s MMU2s sensor here, created by IronJoe13:
