Adding a fan

Hello,

I've printed this part ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2975582 ) and bought another noctua fan to cool down the extruder motor.

I'd like to limit the modifications made to the machine so my idea is to power the fan through the same pins as the extruder fan, using a y-connector/splitter. However, I cannot find anything that would be suitable, the closest I found is the noctua NA-SYC2 but it's too thick and doesn't work. Is there a "slim", 3-pin y-connector that would fit the fan connector on the board and power 2 fans?

RE: Adding a fan

There is a spare 5v socket on the board. It uses a 2 pin Molex 5057-9402 plug.

Run your wiring here in the loom from the extruder. I also suggest mounting the fan so it pulls air through the new duct instead of blowing. You don't need the other wires. Just run the fan at 100%.

I actually went with this remix and used the version without the temp probe mount as it has MUCH better airflow. Unlike the original,   it actually gets bolted to the extruder and has a better filament guide.
