split stl files to print in multiple colors

I made a stl file, I tried to split it with Meshmixer and the files don't get the correct position at the purse slicer. Any idea? what doing wrongly?

Use part import in the Plicer side window.  Or, keep them grouped (combined) in MM and export the stl; in slicer expand them into parts (not objects) and they'll be positionable and you can assign them to different extruders.

... I don't do this that often ... I may have missed steps.
