Not a good 1st experirnce

When I got my built prusa, the spool holders would not clip onto the upper arm. I had to file each for 20 minutes before they would fit. What a pain. Such a simple part I can't imagine why these are not tested to fit before going out.

They seem to fit fine for me - what did you file? They are designed to slip on at an angle, and then "snap" into place...

I know how they are supposed to fit. My brackets were way too tight. I had to file each one, There was a fillet in the corner which made no sense to me either. Had a larger file I could have resolved it quicker but my hobby files too me forever.

My point is that these should be trial fitted as part as the QA process. Pretty sure I won't be the only one bringing this up. Maybe My Prusa has a thicker paint job or maybe the arms are up to specs.

Well, if that's your worst experience so far, then you are doing very well.

I once bought a Chinese clone i3. You don't want to know what I went through before I could print anything.
