MK2 to MK2S Extruder upgrade...

Hi All,

I want to change my nozzle so thought this would be a good time to upgrade to the new MK2S version of the extruder head that has the enhanced Pinda holder. I think there are extra screws and nuts needed for the new extruder, the PInda holder for example? Is it expected I would have those and I should raid the spare parts bag? The don't carry over from the MK2 nozzle. These are the screws shown in step 21 of the MK2S manual which are M3x10.

Secondarily I think there might be e new screw for cable management new for the MK2S, see step 24-27. Where does this screw come from? M3x40. Looks like I have an extra in the spare bag there as well.

Overall did not find any notes about this in the build and upgrade documents. Would these new screws come with the hardware upgrade kit ordered from Prusa or is it expected too raid the spare parts bag?

I definitely want to make sure if I go to the effort of upgrading just the extruder for now that I have the right pieces to put it together.

I did the conversion the other day, without the upgrade from Prusa.

According to my own notes, I needed:

1* M3x40 screw (Wire holder, Step 30)
2* M3x10 screws (PINDA Holder, Step 21)
2* M3 square nuts (PINDA Holder, Step 21)
+ a bunch of zip ties, i think one of the longer ones and a couple of the short ones

I was lucky to find all the required parts in my spares bag.

Thanks Stephan - Good to know that I think I am on track as my spare parts bag seems to have those pieces I need. Did you print and use the new Extruder cable holder?
