can't get the gear bearings sample model to work.

I've tried to print the latest version of the sample gear bearings gcode on my MK3 a couple of times and I just can't get it to work: The file prints, but the result is immovable: The gears won't turn at all. I measured my first layer height (0.20mm) and checked that the extruder is properly calibrated, but it still won't work. I can't figure out what the problem could be. Belt tension? PID calibration?

I've attached two pictures, one of each side of the latest print. Any ideas?

💡 you know that you need to "break free" the printed gear module before you can move it ?

1st: lay it down at a package of paper handkerchiefs and give it a good smash with a rubber mallet.
2nd: stick an allen key (or suitable hexagonal bit with cordless electric screwdriver) in the center and turn it with some force (while holding the outer rim of the module).

 don't be to cautious, the fishbone gear wheels can handle some force...

if it doesn't help, print it again and reduce the extrusion from 1.00 to 0.98, that should help.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Had no idea you were supposed to smash it. I'll see if that does the trick tonight, thanks. 🙂

It works! Turns out I could break them loose by pressing down on each gear firmly. Hammer would probably have been easier, but still. Thanks for the info!
