50 micron prints look bad

Hello,

I have been trying to pull off some 50 micron prints but I seem to hit some intense ghosting for no reason..

Prints are: 200 micron, 100 micron, 50 micron.

My Live-Z is -0.700mm, I lifted it a bit from -0.750mm but it didn't change much.

Weirdly, only the 200 micron print looks best..

The filament is Colorfabb NGEN PET.

Hello Murloc992!

Have you tried variable layer height in the Prusa Edition of Slic3r? That may accomplish relly good result faster.

50 micron is really pushing the printer just a little bit too far.

In order to get a constant extruder pressure, you need to print quickly, but that brings other issues to the table.

The MMU has a minimum layer height limit of 70 microns, due to the lower number of steps/mm, but I print minimum of 75 microns and I am very happy with the quality of that. Can I suggest that you try 75 microns - I think you will be satisfied.
