Suddenly Problems with bonding
  • Hello my colleagues, I have suddenly problems with the bonding between the filaments. I have the Prusa mk3s since 8th January 2020 and have printed a lot of parts. But suddenly I have no chance to get adhesive parts. I am completely stumped now. Best regards, Nico

RE: Suddenly Problems with bonding

You will need to give a lot more information.

What filament and what temperatures. We can see that it is the smooth sheet.

Almost all new user problems come down to build plate cleanliness and / or Z setting.

Print off a calibration square (not the firmware one) and post it. That will tell us a lot.

Thank you for your quick answer. Material was PLA extrafill traffic black 750g, bed temp 60deg, first layer 215deg, second layer 205deg. Cleaning with acetone. Layer thickness 0.2mm. Till last week every print was perfekt, but now nothing is bonding:-(

Try these settings:

Max. volumetric speed: 8mm³/s

Second layer temp: 215°C

Max. cooling: 80%

Min. cooling: 70%

RE: Suddenly Problems with bonding

Hello my friends, thank you for the great support! Today we have done all the calibrations and startet with the original setting for fillamentum PLA traffic black extra fill. The Z-axis value was perfekt, but the result was the same, no bonding between the layers. We also have measured the temperatures. The bed temperature was okay, 59,5deg, but the nozzle temperatur was to less, more than 30deg difference. So we startet again with the print and a nozzle temperatur with 240deg. Everything is fine now:-) As a result of this, I will order some new sensors. Best regards, Nico
