Merge stl files

I have a stl file with recessed lettering and a second stl file of the letters. I want to use two different colors, one for the main part and the other for the letters. How can I merge them into one stl file and still print both colors?

RE: Merge stl files

Having no MMU, I know of no way to print more than one color per layer. That pretty much eliminates printing letters in their recess.

I print my letters in white at a higher level if possible. If they do not stand proud, I print them separately and glue them on.

Might be worth having a read of this thread https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/manual-multicolor/.
I seem to recall Joan also posted a good guide to doing this sort of thing too elsewhere on the forum.

Search YouTube for howto, more then 1 color in 1 layer.
