X-axis problem

Newly assembled mk3 - all tests passed, and I printed 2 successful items from the SD card. On the 3rd print, the first layer didn't properly stick, so I canceled the print.

However, upon printer reset, it now thinks X=0 is in the middle of the axis. Even when I started a new calibration, it will never advance past the middle of the axis, and claims that the axis length is incorrect - it is always simply only utilizing half the axis.

I've even moved the extruder assembly fully to the left, where X=0 should be, initiated the calibration, and the extruder assembly moves to the right the full distance of the axis, then begins moving to the left again, only to halt halfway through and fail with an axis length error.

Has anyone seen this before?

Re: X-axis problem

I suggest trying auto home from the menu. Has worked for me.

I tried that as well, auto-home thinks that X=0 is in the middle of the axis (slightly to the left of middle, actually)

Re: X-axis problem

This turned out to be a problem with the pulley on the x-axis motor - a bit of adjustment fixed it
