Unused DIO ports on the mk3

Hi All,

I want to mount a UV diode or a fan to the print head and control them through a g-code command. Is that possible? Are there available, addressable DIO ports on the mk3?

Best regards
Dang

That is an interesting question I would also love to get answers for (I love LEDs:-))

Are you aware that the Einsy board is open source (files on GitHub)? Have you studied what is there yet? I guess only PR could answer your question now as nearly no-one in the community has spent any time with a MK3 yet.

Cannot wait for long youtube review and kit build videos

While the Original Prusa i3 MK3 is intended to be open source, it is Prusa Research policy NOT to release the designs before they've completed manufacture and starting actually selling their printers. This makes perfect sense -- they want to be able to get their product to market before the Chinese manufacturers cut the bottom out of the market. Alas, that means that we're not going to have Einsy board schematics to study for at least another month.

I solve problems, usually with computers ...

The schematics are already on Github and have been for some time: https://github.com/ultimachine/Einsy-Rambo/blob/1.0a/board/Project%20Outputs/Schematic%20Prints_Einsy%20Rambo_1.0a.PDF
