Ruby nozzle

Did anything will change if i put ruby nozzle from the beginning?
Will the print quality change if i print with normal plastic (like ABS and PLA)?

Re: Ruby nozzle

It shouldn't as both are 0.4 in diameter. But I wouldn't. I have had one for months and have not yet used it. Mostly because I am still learning the machine. I still get crashes and crushing my nozzle in the bed because of my mistakes. Not sure how the ruby would withstand that kind of abuse. And it's an expensive piece of hardware.

Just a Thought,

Neal

Re: Ruby nozzle

I spoke to Josef before arrival of my machine and he suggested I build standard machine and get it dialed in before altering anything so thats what I did. I've since fitted it and apart from having to move the pinda probe slightly due to the different height of the nozzle and a recalibration all is now good.
