Octoprint issues

Hello,

Assembled my MK3 last weekend and has been working fine. Quite happy with it. One of the things I wanted to carry over from my previous printer, was the Octopi installation. To be sure I started clean, I started froma fresh install, and yes got it to talk to my MK3 without issues (Raspberry Pi3b). Since I don't 100% trust printing via USB for bigger prints, I installed a FlashAir card. I can dump files (GCODE) on it just fine and if I print those directly from the MK3 contyrol panel it works fine. However when I try to start the print (from SD in the MK3) via Octopi it looks like I mess up temp control and loose connection quite often. (like as every print...) Am I overlooking a setting somewhere ? It feels like there are 2 conflicting command sets being sent to the printer...

Re: Octoprint issues

you mentioned printing FROM sdcard through octoprint, as opposed to printing from the Pi's storage (or was that what you meant?). what firmware are you on?

3.1.1, latest official release. Yes you are correct, printing FROM the SD in the printer via Octopi
Additional issue, PRUSA simply reboots completely when I try to print via Octopi (not going over the SD).

honestly i wouldn't put my money on octoprint issues being 100% resolved at this point, there were a lot of issues even a few weeks ago.

I would try older firmware 143e and 150b as a test. I also share your concerns about tethered printing (coming from an MP mini) but its been far more reliable than octoprint for me so far.

As said above, for ther moment it works fine using the flashair cartd and just walking over tot the printer to push start... Looking forward to the time where Octopi works again, but for the time being, I can do without the interface
